Project Management Programs

AGS Consulting and Training deliver practical courses in project. program & portfolio management, at three levels (AQF 4, 5 and 6).  

We support organisations, project teams and individuals in the development of sustainable social, technical, economic and environmental solutions.

             Outline of our programs

We cover project, program and portfolio management principles, methodologies, tools using practical step-by-step methodologies.  Course material includes definitions, checklists, examples and templates.

 

Typically we deliver two and three-day courses with coaching to assist participants, working in teams or syndicate groups, in the application of tools and techniques.

Team Member Level - AQF 4

  1. Project Management Fundamentals
  2. Scope Management
  3. Time Management
  4. Cost Management
  5. Initiation Phase (starting a project)
  6. Development Phase (planning the project)
  7. Implementation Phase (achieving the plan)
  8. Finalisation Phase (completing the project)

On finishing the AQF 4 program participants should be able to contribute to the definition, planning, implementation, control and successful completion of projects.

Project Manager Level - AQF 5

  1. Project Management Fundamentals
  2. Initiation phase (starting a project)
  3. Development Phase (planning the project)
  4. Implementation Phase (achieving the plan)
  5. Finalisation Phase (completing the project)
  6. Project Management Techniques (option)

On finishing the AQF 5 program participants should be able to manage the definition, planning, implementation, control and successful completion of projects.

Project Director Level/Program Manager - AQF 6 

  1.     Portfolio and program structures
  2.     Creation of environments for success
  3.     Organisational capability & systems
  4.     Strategic alignment, performances measures
  5.     Governance, resourcing, leadership, control
  6.     Stakeholders management & culture change
  7.     Project selection & prioritization
  8.     Benefits planning & realization
  9.     Relationship management, alliancing etc
  10.   Portfolio, program & project evaluation
 

 

On finishing the AQF 6 program participants should be able to successfully manage programs & portfolios & lead project managers.
