This qualification is suitable for autonomous individuals who identify and apply project management skills and knowledge in a wide variety of contexts. Job titles for these roles may include project officer, contracts officers, project administrators, quality officers and small business operators.
Individuals in these roles might be members of a project team, with no direct responsibility for overall project outcomes. Primarily, these roles would support wider project operations. They may use project tools and methodologies selectively to support organisational or business activities.

The course includes progressive assessment / assessment upon completion – upon satisfying criteria candidates are awarded BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice.
On completion of the course delegates are eligible to apply for AIPM’s RegPM Certification at Certified Practicing Project Practitioner (CPPP) level when applying for Associate Membership.
Completing activities which include filling out templates for a project from start to finish. Workplace templates/deliverables may also be used for evidence (or a combination of both). AGS provides examples and checklists. Delegates may work on case studies or real workplace projects, in teams or on their own.
Completion of an Assessment Record Book (ARB), primarily answering knowledge and understanding questions (no exam!).
On finishing this course, participants should be able to contribute to the definition, planning, implementation, control and successful completion of projects or project manage simple projects from start to finish.

The course covers program management principles, techniques and tools, using a life-cycle and 'qualification unit' approach to deliver successful programs. Courseware includes definitions, checklists, examples, templates, videos and webinars. Participants apply program management tools and techniques to current or planned programs.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in program management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. A program is defined as a set of interrelated projects, each of which has a project manager. 'Multiple projects', or 'a program of projects', refers to a number of related projects managed by the same person as a program to achieve organisational objective/s.

The Diploma of Leadership and Management develops a sound theoretical knowledge base and managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate own work and/or the work of a team. Participants select an organisation, scenario, case study and/or project to use (from past or current experience) for applying theory to practice (ie skills) via activities using templates provided by AGS (see below for examples of evidence generated in the course) undertaken throughout the course. Workplace templates/documents may also be used for evidence (or a combination of both).
Participants are required to complete an Assessment Record Book, answering questions to demonstrate knowledge and understanding. Being competency-based, there are no exams or tests.
